“Any aspiring lawyer has a notion of what justice means for them. The spark that put them on this journey is a very powerful motivator. Nonetheless, on some days we are set astray from that path. Thankfully, the best way for us to get back to our roots is to give back to the community who helped set us off on our journey. By teaching young students about what it means to be a lawyer what we deal with on a day to day basis, how we take in stride every sweet victory and bitter defeat we are once again reminded about what it is our idea of a lawyer. So volunteering is the perfect remedy for either seasoned practitioners who are keen to be involved in helping the new generation of barristers and solicitors and the young law student who want first hand experience about the way a courtroom functions, how lawyers help those in their community and how rewarding it can be.”
